Does anyone not love Bak Kwa? 🥓🥓 Loong Kee (龍記) is the only outlet where I buy mine. 

I first stumbled upon Loong Kee at Genting Highlands' Awana SkyCentral, a transportation hub connecting cable cars, buses, and a shopping mall. 

Before long, I was thrilled to discover that Johor Bahru also has a branch in Taman Sri Tebrau !  

Among the various types of Bak Kwa, the Gui Fei Bak Kwa (贵妃肉干) is my favorite.  

Hmm… huh? Only $73 per 500g?? 🤣 Hehe, no need to exclaim 'WOW'! This picture was taken in 2022. As of this year 2025, the price for this variety has already risen to nearly RM100 per 500g liao 😞

I absolutely loved their 贵妃肉干. It’s an explosion of savory goodness! Just like their advertisement slogan says: “龍記肉乾試一試，您一定好鍾意! “

After tasting it for the first time, I wouldn’t want to go back to any other Bak Kwa in Singapore.

Their 乾貝辣椒醬 XO Scallop Chili Sauce also pairs beautifully with seafood, adding a rich, flavorful kick.

Good Afternoon!  こんにちは😄 

Are you a fan of Banana Fritters? Discovered this Push Cart - Pisang Goreng Pisang Keju Lengkongan at Gelang Patah 🍌🍌

This pushcart primarily sells banana fritters 🍌🍌, yet it always has a steady queue. It must be one of the famous stalls from elsewhere in Malaysia that has expanded to Gelang Patah.

Hmm...... what is the batter make off? 🤔 Secret Receipe wo 😉

Watching 👀📸📹 the stall operator skillfully work with the cauldron of boiling oil was a true craft in itself.

Alright, my turn! Can I have 10 pcs, please? The food vendor is quite generous, giving me plenty of that crispy, golden-brown crust. 😊

The delightful contrast of a crispy exterior and soft, sweet interior is perfect! Tasty and addictive!

And i appreciate how Malaysian food vendors often use brown paper bags for their hot, crispy treats; It feels more..... rustic and somehow keeps the food warmer and crispier for longer, too. Unlike many in Singapore who use plastic bags 🙄

Can't get enough of this crispy pisang goreng? The secret to achieving the crispiest texture lies in the batter. I found this recipe that perfectly satisfies our craving:

I have ordered the following dishes: 

• Signature White Bee Hoon (三鮮白米粉)
• Hotplate Minced Pork Beancurd (铁板豆腐)
• Salted Egg Pork Ribs (咸蛋咕咾肉)

Overall, the 煮炒, is tasty but there are still some discomforts :

Staff service was slow to react 😞, we had to repeatedly request utensils / sauces etc. Despite the strong air conditioning and closed doors venue, flies 🪰 were present while food being served. 😰

As is customary when visiting a new café, I ordered: Butter and Kaya Toast, Half-boiled Eggs, and Coffee O

Additionally, I also ordered the Fried Pork Noodle 客家炸肉面

It should be the lard croutons that enhance the fragrance of the noodle 😋

There is a special drink store within the Cafe - Yes! LemonTea  野柠手作   #yeslemontea    #野柠手作

Based on some reviews, the drinks seem to be quite good. Even thot the drink names like “鴨屎香檸檬茶”,  “苦瓜檸檬茶” are quite.... intriguing. 😒

Unfortunately, the drink store opens later at 11 am, whereas we visited for breakfast around 8 am. Looks like we'll have to return another day. 🍸🍹
